Terms of Use
Last updated August 27, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Let's Go Birmingham for your use of Let's Go Birmingham. By using the site you accept them. If you list events here, the organizer sections apply to you as well.
What this service is
Let's Go Birmingham is a discovery platform for events in the greater Birmingham, Alabama area. We publish listings — some submitted by organizers, some gathered from public calendars and event feeds, some written by our editors.
We are not the organizer of the events listed here unless we say so explicitly. The organizer runs the event, sets its price, and is responsible for it. We do not currently sell tickets: a paid event links out to the organizer’s own ticketing, and any purchase you make there is between you and them, on their terms.
Your account
- You must be 13 or older to create an account, and old enough to enter into a contract to buy anything.
- Give us accurate information and keep it current.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or is used abusively.
RSVPs and attendance
Free RSVPs made here reserve a place subject to the organizer’s capacity. A full event may put you on a waitlist, and you may be promoted from it automatically if space opens. An RSVP is not a ticket, not a guarantee of entry, and can be cancelled by the organizer.
If you list events
By listing an event you agree that:
- The listing is accurate — date, time, place, price, and what attendees actually get — and you will update it promptly when something changes, including cancellation.
- You have the right to use every image, video, and description you upload, and they do not infringe anyone's rights.
- You will honor the tickets and RSVPs you accept, and handle your own refunds.
- You are responsible for collecting and remitting any tax due on your ticket sales, and for any permit, licence, or insurance your event requires.
- You will only use attendee contact details for the event they registered for — no unrelated marketing, no selling the list.
- Your event is lawful, and is not hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or dangerous.
You keep ownership of your content. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, resize, and promote it on and for Let's Go Birmingham — including in emails, texts, social posts, and sponsored placements on the site.
We can decline, edit, recategorize, or remove any listing, at our discretion. We do that to keep the catalogue accurate and useful, not as a judgment on you.
Paid organizer services
Subscriptions, per-week promotional boosts, and sponsored-slot auction wins are paid services for organizers. Their prices, terms, and refund treatment are set out in our Refund Policy. Buying any of them affects placement only. It does not buy editorial coverage, and it never has.
Listings we gather ourselves
Many listings are compiled from public calendars, venue sites, and event feeds. We attribute and link to the source, and we correct or remove on request. If you run an event or a venue and want a listing changed or taken down, email hello@letsgobirmingham.com and we will deal with it.
Acceptable use
Do not:
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk-copy the catalogue, or use it to build a competing listing service.
- Post false, misleading, or spam listings, or manipulate the auction with bids you do not intend to honor.
- Interfere with the site's operation or try to access accounts or data that are not yours.
- Use the service to break the law or someone else's rights.
No warranty
Let's Go Birmingham is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep listings accurate, but much of the information comes from organizers and public feeds, and we do not warrant that any listing is correct, current, or that the event will happen as described. Check with the organizer before you travel or spend money.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Let's Go Birmingham is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for anything that happens at an event, and our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law permits.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Jefferson County, Alabama, and you and we both consent to their jurisdiction.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date above shows when we last did, and material changes will be announced to account holders. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it. Questions? Use our contact form.
